Modernizing Greece's Land Registry System
The Hellenic Cadastre required a complete digital transformation to serve Greece's citizens with a modern, accessible platform. I led the technical implementation, working closely with stakeholders to ensure the new system met government requirements while delivering an exceptional user experience.
The challenge was not just building a new website, but creating a robust system that could handle massive traffic spikes, integrate with legacy systems, and provide administrators with powerful content management tools—all while maintaining 99.9% uptime for critical government services.
I built a custom CMS using Strapi with bespoke plugins for legacy data integration, implemented Next.js caching strategies combined with CDN delivery for optimal performance, and engineered a powerful office search system that replaced the outdated legacy lookup tool. The platform now serves over 300,000 citizens monthly, delivering exceptional performance with sub-second load times.
